ART OF THE DEAL: Trump’s cavalier attitude towards this whole election is a tell — he doesn’t care that much if he wins and even in a loss would continue to play the performance art-bad guy the world loves to hate but can’t tune out.

I ask though — was this a deal made with the Clintons? It certainly seems possible in the beginning — WaPo reported on a call between Bill and Don just before his announcement. Their kids are long time besties with much in common. And Trump gave them millions in the past.

If there were a deal in place to be so horrible it drives voters to Clinton, it’s not working — straight out of Max Bialystock in The Producers, the more he tries to blow it, the more the right supports him. This made him wonder if he could really win, which makes him look really bad as he never prepared a minute for any of this.

My wife’s explanation is simpler — he’s just crazy. But whether there was a pact or he’s just ended up in this position of massive power and influence by accident, the American people are in an awful, ugly election with decades of scandals following either candidate.
