The BAT teachers formed in 2013 in response to the privatization of our schools. Then a large parent movement came together in 2014 to make opt-out a gigantic message of discontent.

What was learned in these years was that the media has been suppressing education reporting. The unions have been too compliant, making backroom deals with reformers and campaigns.

The education community has been here, but as we see, it doesn’t matter how many people chime in, the politicians will always do the bidding of the super wealthy.

The Wikileaks have brought this out in detail, that Democrats were eagerly doing pay-for-access and ignoring the evidence. Republicans are for sale even cheaper. But we were going to get school privatization no matter who won. More here:
